Two – 5 Hour Sessions                                                     $50.00

A One-Block Wonder quilt is traditionally made with one fabric, but you can choose to use a panel and coordinating fabric or even 7 panels to make your quilt. One-Block Wonder is not a pattern.  It is a process. Start with a fabric that has a pattern which can be measured in repeats, usually no smaller than 12”. Cut six individual repeats into strips. Cut 60-degree triangles from the strips.  Then those stacks of six triangles, which are identical, are sewn into half hexagons then pinned together to create kaleidoscope blocks. These blocks are then arranged on a design wall or around a panel. Other design elements can be added if wanted. This is a simplified description of the process. Sign up for this class to begin the adventure.

The Little Three Creeks quilt is a fresh, clean, modern quilt of three mountains and their mirror images plus three creeks between them. This lap-sized quilt is wonderful for exercising your half square triangle chops for creating the mountains. It also incorporates the less common half rectangle triangle (aka split rects) to make the creeks that flow between the crisp, clean mountains. A couple of Deb Tucker rulers, the Tucker Trimmer and the Split Rects Ruler, make creating accurate blocks a breeze.

Session 1: Friday July 23                                            10am – 4pm

Session 2: Friday July 30                                            10am – 4pm

You will have a small amount of pre-class cutting but you will have homework. You must have a good grasp of ¼” seams to make this quilt.

Session 2: Tuesday August 24                                 10am – 1pm
