Get to Know Staff Member Nancy Reeves

I took my first beginning quilting class 15 years ago and loved it so much I took every class that was available at my local quilt shop in Iowa.  My first teacher, Nancy, was amazing and she inspired me to try new techniques and I always learned something new from her with each class.  Within two months of me taking my first class, my husband purchased a Nolting Longarm and we were off and running!

I started working at A Quilter’s Oasis in February 2015.  I love everything about the shop, our fabric collections, the staff I work with and the amazing customers that I get to help.  My favorite part of the job is assisting customers with their fabric selections for their projects.  I also love the feel of the shop in that it is just like the TV show…. Cheers….where everyone knows your name!

My “go to” fabric collections for myself are bright and happy and whimsical!  I love fabrics and patterns by Lori Holt, Corey Yoder and Amy Smart.  I facilitate the Farm Girl Chicks and Fancy Friends Clubs at the shop on a monthly basis.  I’m also the Social Media gal at the shop and love creating fun videos for our Facebook Page,

When I’m not quilting, I enjoy spending time with our 2 granddaughters, reading and traveling….Quilt Retreats are always my favorite get away vacation!
